The International Summer Course at Department of Agroindustrial Technology Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Engineering IPB University (Bogor Agricultural University) is designed to provide international undergraduate or post graduate students the opportunity to gain critical on issues of Sustainable Agroindustry in Rural Areas within perspectives of global importance, especially on ChoCoTea (Chocolate, Coffe and Tea). Every year, this Summer Course is thrilled to host students and faculty from around the world.
With the partners of Jendral Sudirman University, Villanova University, Colorado School of Mines, Maejo University, Universiti Putra Malaysia, the program offers two courses i.e TIN 472 Sustainable Agroindustri in Rural Areas and TIN 473 Design Engineering for Sustainable Agroindustry. Each course worth three (3) credit, or equivalent to six (6) credit for two courses. The first course will be run online and the second course will be conducted by on site.
Those courses are taught by our world-class faculty along with external experts in the field (Ranin Cofee House, Laresolo Tea House, Cau Chocolate, Belfit, Cibulau Coffee Farmers and Indonesian Research Institute for Industrial Crops and Beverage). They bring you in ensure understanding of the subject area from different angles. A small group with mini project will be established thus you have a chance to engage with your classmates and the academic staff at each turn. To give you the flexibilities, you could raise issue based on your interest on the commodities, off course it is still related to agroindustry.
Our program will help you meet and connect with new people from all over the world at a time.
