OPENING OF SUMMER COURSE TIN-IPB 2021 in conjuction with & The 68st e-IPB TALK ON COMPLEXITY AND SUSTAINABILITY SCIENCES under under a theme “Sustainable Agroindustry : Adding Values to Local Commodities in Rural Agroindustry of ChoCoTea (Chocolate, Coffe, and Tea)”. The Program was participated by 18 universities both from national and international including The department of Agroindustrial Technology IPB University as a host in collaboration with Villanova University, USA supported by Colorado School of Mines USA, Maejo University Thailand, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Industrial and Beverage Crop Research Institute (Balitri), Rani Coffee House, Laresolo Tea house, Cau Chocolate, Belift.
This Program recorded 66 students as participant, come from Gyeongsang National University (South Korea), Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria), Rwanda University (Rwanda), Rhine-Waal University (Germany), The University of Manchaster (England), Iloilo Science and Technology University (Philippines), and Bryn Mawr College (Austria) State University of Jakarta, Trunojoyo Madura University, Udayana University, Indonesian Education University, Semen Indonesia International University, Binawan University.
The program was officially opened by Vice Rector of International Collaboration and Alumni Affair, Prof. Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, M.Sc. F.Trop, followed by a greeting from Agriculture Atache of The USA Ambassy Mr. Garett McDonald and Assistant Vice President for Global Education Colorado School of Mines, Dr. David Wright. The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Jordan Ermilio. He highlighted that the really important part of that overall agriculture and sustainable agriculture process, particularly around rural developing communities, is to really work within those communities to help them develop the solutions, so that they own those solution.
